Safe Harbor Marinas is unveiling its expanded Safe Harbor Rybovich Superyacht Repair Facility in Riviera Beach with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, Sept. 17. The expansion represents one of the largest private marina investments in South Florida.
The facility is now the largest superyacht repair facility in Florida and the largest along the U.S. East Coast. The expansion incorporates land from several adjacent parcels and includes a six-story office tower. It will nearly double hauling capacity, allowing the facility to accommodate superyachts up to 220 feet and 850 tons.
Attendees will get an exclusive first look at the site, including one of South Florida’s largest mobile boat lifts, which can lift superyachts up to 250 feet in length.
According to Safe Harbor, the operation is expected to generate more than $130 million in direct economic impact, with an indirect regional economic impact of more than $1 billion. The facility is expected to service up to 300 vessels annually.
