The Professional Yachting Association (PYA) will host the 16th edition of its annual Sea Changes Forum on Sept. 24 during the Monaco Yacht Show.
Held at the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) in Monaco, the forum aims to bring together yacht captains, crew representatives, training providers, and maritime authorities to discuss developments affecting the professional yachting industry.
Topics will include seafarer training and certification, crew qualifications and career progression, seabed mapping, environmental regulations, marine protected areas, and coastal compliance. Representatives from organizations including the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), Royal Yachting Association (RYA), Cayman Islands Shipping Registry, and the IHO are expected to provide updates.
The event will run from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a networking event from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. The forum will take place at the International Hydrographic Organization, 4b quai Antoine 1er, Monaco.
“Regulatory and operational requirements continue to evolve rapidly, and yacht professionals need clear information directly from the organizations shaping those changes,” PYA CEO Christophe Bourillon said in a statement. “The Sea Changes Forum creates a rare opportunity for authorities, industry leaders, and crew representatives to discuss what these developments mean in practice.”
