Bosun Eleisha Mealing created The Crew Mess community video challenge to highlight the real moments of life in the superyacht industry.

The #TheCrewMess challenge invited yacht crew to share videos of their life on board from July 17– 24. A panel of judges selected the finalists, with the winners ultimately chosen by public vote and Mealing herself.

The People’s Choice award, determined by public vote, went to Llewmari Nicolay (@llewthestew).

“Your creativity, personality, and the support you received from the community made this a well-deserved win,” Mealing shared on Instagram. “Thank you for sharing your story and being part of what made this competition so special.”

Nicolay received a GoPro from Northrop & Johnson, a one-year Professional Yachting Association (PYA) membership valued at €185, and an IGY prize pack.

The Bosun’s Pick, selected by Mealing, was awarded to Faruk Atalay (@farukatalay).

“Your creativity, storytelling, and genuine passion for life on board made your content stand out,” Mealing posted on Instagram. “The sponsors were incredibly impressed by your entry, making you a very deserving winner.”

Atalay’s prize included a crew experience day featuring activities such as Fliteboard or eFoil, Awake electric surfboards, SEABOBs, and Yachtbeach inflatables, along with a one-year PYA membership and a 20% crew training voucher sponsored by Zephyr Yachting.

“Thank you to every person who entered, shared, voted, and supported The Crew Mess,” Mealing wrote on Instagram. “Seeing so many crewmembers from around the world come together to celebrate life onboard has been incredible, and this is only the beginning.”
